Speech Therapy Surrey London is the first in the UK to introduce Neuroadaptive Therapy™

Speech Therapy Surrey London is proud to announce the launch of its new Neuroadaptive Therapy™ Programme - an innovative approach designed to help children and adults who experience challenges with communication (including motor speech and myofunctional issues), sensory processing, attention and emotional regulation.
The programme is led by Rosemary Nicholson, Director of Speech Therapy Surrey London, who is the first certified Neuroadaptive Therapy™ provider in the UK and is integrating the AVANT Laser into her speech and language therapy sessions. Rosemary spent time in the US researching and training to use the specialist laser.
For many families, communication difficulties are about far more than speech. A child may struggle to regulate their emotions, cope with sensory input, maintain attention or engage in therapy. These challenges can make learning and everyday interactions difficult.
The Neuroadaptive Therapy™ Programme has been developed to address these wider challenges by combining specialist speech and language therapy with carefully selected, evidence-informed approaches that support regulation, participation and readiness to learn.
One of these approaches is Photobiomodulation (PBM), also known as Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), delivered using the AVANT Laser. This gentle, non-invasive and completely painless therapy uses carefully controlled red and near-infrared light and is incorporated into therapy sessions where clinically appropriate.

Every child and adult is unique, and communication is influenced by many factors, including regulation, sensory processing and how the nervous system responds to the world around us.
