Speech Therapy Surrey London is led by Rosemary Nicholson, with a team of specialist therapists.

Rosemary Nicholson started Speech Therapy Surrey London in 2014. She has more than 20 years’ experience as a speech therapist, following completion of her Master’s Degree in the USA. Prior to starting her own practice, Rosie worked in Texas as a stammering specialist, and subsequently for the NHS where she headed up the adult learning disability speech and language team for Hammersmith and Fulham.

Many of the patients Rosie treated also had coinciding Myofunctional disorders and issues that couldn't be treated with standard speech therapy. Rosie felt saddened that there were so many adults and children who couldn't get the help they desperately needed due to budget constraints, NHS training, and long wait-times, so she set up a private practice where she now offers a range of services that aren't available in the NHS, alongside standard speech therapy.

Our typical wait-time is one to two weeks for week-day appointments (due to their popularity, evenings and weekends are a little longer).

Her team works with both children and adults to provide both PROMPT Speech Therapy (a flexible and dynamic therapy for a wide variety of communication, language and speech difficulties) and Myofunctional Therapy to support the function and structure of facial muscles that can interfere with speech, breathing, growth, and development.

It is important to work preventatively, reducing risk of cognitive difficulties, improving attention and concentration, and supporting emotional and behavioural regulation as well as speech and stammering.

Speech Therapy Surrey London operates out of clinics in Godalming (Surrey) and Clapham/Balham (South London). Patients come to us from across London and beyond - including the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
